Excellent copy of a book ..... The Picnic Basket By Major-General Sir Edward Spears, Bt, KBE, CB, MC. This book was a house clearance find local to Surrey and looks back over the long and distinguished career of Sir Edward Spears. It is based more on his personal recollections of a boyhood spent in France and and a young manhood in the Irish Hussars.. the jacket features a photograph of the author as a 2nd Lieut in uniform of the 8th Hussars before WW1.
This book was signed for a friend who is mentioned in the list of names at the front, Leonard C. Bonham. It was published in 1967 by Secker & Warburg. In Very good condition.
