Lovely WW1 British war medal awarded to : J/59464 Able Seaman E.W.Austin. Sadly AB Austin Died on 1/10/1918 aboard HMS Wear and is remembered with honour at the Malta (Capuccini) Cemetery. He was the husband of Gladys Mildred Austin of Wheelers Farm Clanfield, Oxon.
The medal is beautifully tone on a long piece of original ribbon and is stapled to black card as purchased. I will supply a copy CWGC.
