Lovely WW1 medal 1914/15 trio awarded to : 15950 Pte R Bealing DCLI. The medals are in great condition with small pieces of original ribbon. The lot comes with a regimental cap badge and DCLI Association badge and book. There are 2 photos of Pte Bealing and an insert to the book which dates movements of the 1st & 2nd Battalions. Inside the front cover it states Pte. Bealing was born at Suddon Grange Wincanton Somerset 5/10/1893 and died at Bracklesham bay in Sussex 21/4/1982. He served with the 2nd Bat. (8th Div) and served in France, Salonika, Mesopotamia and Bulgaria. The book is a short History of DCLI. Its Formation And Services 1702-1938. Very interesting.
